Journalism & Digital Content Degree

You’ll go right to work researching stories that matter to your community during your first semester. Learn how to be in the right place at the right time so that you get the scoops for your stories. Master the art of the interview and practice public speaking. Deepen your critical thinking skills, and learn to fact-check and present information clearly and accurately.

During engaging, thought-provoking classes, dive into problem-solving discussions about journalistic theory, ethics and the importance of news media to the public. Get hands-on practice creating, producing and delivering news to multimedia outlets in our state-of-the-art facilities. Build your resume by getting involved in our student-run newspaper, our student broadcasting group and other professional student clubs.

Work closely with professors who bring real-world industry experience into the classroom. As a journalism and digital content major, you will graduate with the confidence, credentials and connections you need to go right to work bringing timely news to people in your community, and maybe even throughout the world.
